The Last Slice

Themes: Comedy, Contemporary, Siblings, Teenager
Length: 1 Minute

[A young teenager stands in the kitchen, holding an empty pizza box, glaring towards the audience as if confronting an unseen sibling. They are animated, exasperated, and slightly amused by their own rant. The setting suggests a casual, everyday moment interrupted by this sibling rivalry.]

You always do this, you know. Last slice of pizza, and suddenly it’s like you’ve never eaten before in your life. And you think you’re so slick with that whole ‘I’ll just take a tiny nibble’ act. Please. I see you, hovering over the box like it’s the last treasure on earth. Newsflash: It’s just pizza. But oh no, you’re gonna make it a whole thing. Like that time with the popcorn. Or the bag of chips. Or literally every single cookie in the house. I mean, who even eats all the Oreos and leaves the empty box in the pantry? Sociopaths, that’s who. I bet you even plan it. Like you’re a pizza ninja, crouched and ready to strike. Meanwhile, I’m just trying to survive, living under the same roof as the world’s most diabolical food thief. And don’t give me that innocent face, ‘cause I’m onto you. This isn’t just about pizza. It’s about respect. It’s about boundaries. It’s about learning to share. I mean, we grew up together! We shared everything, whether we wanted to or not. And yet, here you are, hoarding pepperoni like it’s the key to your happiness. Well, guess what? I don’t care anymore. You can have your stupid pizza. But one day, one day I’m gonna get that last slice. And when I do, oh, it’ll be glorious. It’ll be the sweetest victory this side of the refrigerator. Just you wait.
