You think you know who you are until the world tells you otherwise. Every day, I face questions, looks, and sometimes even outright rejection. People see what they want to see, and when you don’t fit their expectations, they push you aside. It hurts. It makes you doubt everything you thought you knew about yourself.
But here’s the thing: in those moments of rejection, I found my power. I discovered that I am more than their labels, more than their narrow definitions. I am me, unapologetically and fiercely. The world can be harsh, but it’s also a place where you can carve out your own space.
I learned to stop seeking validation from others. Instead, I started looking inward, finding strength in my own identity. It’s not easy. Some days, it feels like an uphill battle. But every time I refuse to let their rejection define me, I grow stronger. Every time I stand up for myself, I reclaim a piece of my power.
Reality isn’t always kind, but it’s real. And in that reality, I’ve found a truth that’s more important than acceptance: authenticity. Being true to myself, even when it’s hard, even when it’s lonely, is the greatest power I possess.
You think you know who you are until the world tells you otherwise. But I’m here to tell the world who I am. And nothing, no amount of rejection, will ever change that.
